Posture is such a key aspect to making consistent golf swings and enables you to achieve good neutral positions.

The image (top) shows a postural position with an obvious rounding at the top of the back. This is C-posture, whereas the image (below) demonstrates the other most common postural trait and this is S-Posture with a distinct curve at the base of the back and a slight arching of the back.

Either of these postural positions will be detrimental to your swing and more importantly will cause you back pain. If you have a C or S posture you are likely to have muscle imbalances, physical limitations and lifestyle related habits that have led you to these positions. It is therefore imperative that you work on a corrective programme to ensure pain-free golf.
