THEY SAY

For the first time ever, Twist Face, our revolutionary face curvature with a corrective face angle on off-centre hits, has been engineered into a fairway wood to reduce side spin and deliver straighter shots. Thread the needle off the tee and start reaching par 5s in two with straight distance like never before.

I SAY

There’s an awful lot of technology that’s gone into the construction of these fairway woods and the advanced multi-material that make up the head are instantly visible in the M5. The silver leading edge works really well for aiming. The head size is compact and more streamlined than other fairway woods on test, which I enjoyed as it gave me more freedom to shape shots. The adjustability options are clearly and cleverly marked on the sole - slide the 65g weight left or right for ‘fade’ or ‘draw’ bias. The size of the weight means you really do notice a significant change in the ball flight. The performance was outstanding - fast off the face, forgiving and easy to flight.

Price: £369 - Rocket 3 (14°), 3 (15°), 5 (19°)
