In this age of zany putter heads I was very impressed with the simple styling of the Ardmore 1. It’s a face-balanced half-moon shape and unusually, the aim lines are two parallel lines the width of a golf ball either side of a dot. I usually line the logo on the ball up with the line on the putter so I had to adapt. I found this design helped me to visualise the path of the ball as a track instead of a line. The ball feels wonderfully soft off the face and my distance control was good. The tacky super-sized grip felt great and stopped me getting too wristy with the stroke. Overall, a good putter for those not reliant on a central line.
