We've got all you need to know about Wilson Golf's new range of D9 women’s irons and woods ready in time for the new season.

Wilson Golf's latest clubs for women are specifically designed for those of us who want to hit it further, more accurately and generally play better.

So essentially, they deliver everything we want from a set of clubs and more...

Wilson D9 irons

Following on from the successful D7 irons, the new D9 women’s range features something called 'Power Hole 2.0 Technology'.

Without going too deeply into the technology, it means that these irons make it much easier for you to hit the ball faster and further. The club face also features a larger sweet spot, making it more forgiving towards off-centre hits.

These clubs boast the lowest-ever centre of gravity on a Wilson iron, improving both launch and spin abilities for increased control around the course.

Jon Pergande, Manager of Wilson Golf Club Innovation, said:: “The D9 women’s irons represent a technological advancement showcasing Wilson’s future approach to iron design and development. The aim was to create a distance iron which generated a higher ball flight and landed softer onto greens. With straighter lines, a cleaner top line and an ultra-thin face, the D9 women’s irons combine the look of a player's iron with the benefits of super game improvement distance technology,” he added.

The new Wilson Staff D9 women’s irons come as standard with a Quaranta Blue graphite shaft and a Wilson Staff Women’s Performance grip.

Available now for £579/€680 (steel).

Wilson D9 driver

Meanwhile, the wood range uses the same design process as the irons to help you hit it further and create a satisfying sound when you strike.

Featuring a peak kinetic response club face (PKR), which divides the face into a series of fractural zones for added distance and enhanced performance, the D9 driver boasts the most technologically advanced face that Wilson has ever produced.

The super forgiving driver features a three-layer composite crown to minimise vibration, reduce weight and ensure a lower centre of gravity for improved ball flight.

“Utilising our proprietary software, alongside Wilson Labs and our Wilson Advisory Staff members, the D9 women’s driver is our best driver offering yet”, said Pergande.

“The face construction, head-shape, crown technology and PKR face all received Tour player feedback and with the high launching 14-degree loft, the end product is perfect for players looking for extra yards and forgiveness off the tee."

The new Wilson Staff D9 women’s driver (14˚) is completed with the Quaranta Blue graphite shaft and a Wilson Staff Women’s Performance grip.

Available now for £299 (€355).

Wilson D9 fairway woods and hybrid

For the first time ever, the Wilson Staff D9 women’s fairway woods and hybrid feature Variable Face Technology, which delivers high ball speeds and high launch angles, regardless of where the ball makes contact on the club face. Brilliant!

The woods are available in three loft options – 15˚ (3-wood); 18˚ (5-wood); and 21˚ (7-wood) - with the same Quaranta Blue graphite shaft in ladies flex, plus Wilson Staff Women’s Performance grip as used on the driver. Left hand models are available in 15° and 18° loft options.

Meanwhile, the hybrid is available in three progressive loft options (22˚, 25˚ & 28˚) with the Quaranta Blue graphite shaft in ladies flex and Wilson Staff Women’s Performance grip. Left-handed versions are available in 22˚ & 25° loft options.

Available now with RRP for woods at £179 (€215) and for the hybrid at £159 (€190).
