Your first taste of golf on this “first of its kind”, Women’s Golf Cruise will be on Sunday morning at the breathtaking centerpiece golf course at the Golf Club Villa Condulmer located just outside Venice. Here you will find 60 hectares of natural beauty on which to play golf with Solheim Cup Player Lora Fairclough.

The 18 hole, par 71 course is 5,900 meters long with the first nine holes designed by John Harris. Here you will wind your way through the age-old flora of Villa Condulmer’s 18th century park. The second nine holes are longer than the first and are designed by Marco Croze. This gives a unique combination of playing on one course yet with different challenges. The greens will suit everyone. They are fast and well defended by strategically placed bunkers; the layout is flat and not difficult. Along with this, the practice range is 250 meters long and has 9 distance markers ranging from 25 to 200 metres. After your golf morning you will enjoy a group lunch in the stunning restaurant at Condulmer.

Your first port of call and non-golfing day will be at the stunning Croatian city of Dubrovnik, once described by George Bernard Shaw as the “pearl of the Adriatic”. He was enchanted by this beautiful city and we hope you will be too. With its amazing old town which became a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1979 you will find many sights including the well-preserved city walls and the famous Stradun, also known as Placa, the main thoroughfare with cafes and shops to enjoy.

For your second golfing experience where better to play than at Greece’s oldest golf course at Glyfada Golf Club, designed by Donald Harradine in the 1960’s. Glyfada’s 18-hole par 72 golf course is beautifully hilly and makes for an interesting game for all handicaps. Your accuracy will be put to the test as you tee up in the incredible pine tree lined corridors. But don’t worry Lora is on hand to give some crucial tuition to help you on your way.

A real highlight of the cruise will be our next port of call to the stunning island of Santorini, a top destination among the Greeks which is always a good endorsement for foreign travellers. Apparently the island is also renowned to be one of the most romantic destinations, not only in Greece but in the world! The island is situated in the heart of the crystal blue waters of the Aegean and is a site to one of the largest volcanic eruptions in the world. You can explore one of the many amazing and beautiful coastal villages with their unique Cycladic architecture or visit Akrotiri a prehistoric city with its elegant mansion dating back to the 17th century B.C.

Your final golf day will be played at the Adriatic Golf Club in Cervia, a province town of Ravenna. In 2004, a new course was added to the previous 9-hole greens, bringing the Club up to the current 27 holes. Now the course covers an area of nearly 100 hectares and is located close to centuries-old pine woods, immediately behind the beach and facing the Adriatic Sea. The first 9 holes were again designed by Marco Croze who designed Condulmer’s course in Venice. The second 9 holes were then added, providing a really varied and pleasant course surrounded by lakes. The third phase of 9 holes has been mainly inspired by Scottish Links, making it a popular course for many Italians and foreign players.
