Cavendish GC has been shown to be MacKenzie’s ‘Inspiration for Augusta’, but with so many alterations, Augusta National has lost the authenticity of the original MacKenzie conception.
The course is not long by modern standards but requires skill and good decision-making to play well - and getting to the greens is when the real challenges start!

Buxton is a beautiful spa town positioned on the edge of the very first National Park to be set up in the UK boasting more visitors than any other UK National Park and second only in the world to Mount Fuji in Japan!. The Peak District is blessed with a wealth of scenic, cultural, historic and entertainment attractions and is a hugely popular holiday destination.
