The new guidelines mean that you now won’t have to quarantine when you visit these luxurious resorts.

With the announcement that from July 10, those travelling to France, Italy and Spain will no longer need to quarantine on arrival or on return to the UK, we’ve put together a list of some of the most desirable golf travel destinations open to UK golfers this summer.

Offering amazing golf, gorgeous scenery, sun-soaked fairways and the highest levels of luxury, these resorts offer everything you need to recuperate after such a confusing start to the year.

Or, if you’d rather wait a while before travelling again, they’ll also be waiting for you later in the year, too.

Argentario, Italy

This stylish hotel is located in the relatively undiscovered area of Maremma in Tuscany.

Hidden away in the hills and surrounded by untouched countryside, incredible panoramic views can be enjoyed from both the hotel’s outdoor areas and the resort's course.

It has also launched a special mini-break deal just for golfers. For around £422 per person in a double room sharing, you can get a three-night stay including three green fees, breakfast, spa access and use of the driving range.

La Cala, Spain

La Cala resort on the Costa del SolSpain has a beautiful setting in the middle of the Andalusian countryside.

The four-star hotel was named the best in Europe at the 2019 Europe Hotel Awards and it’s home to a luxurious hydrotherapy spa and three courses designed by renowned architect Cabell B. Robinson.

It’s been back open since June 15 and you can find out more by visiting www.lacala.com.

La Manga, Spain

The iconic La Manga Club in Murcia, Spain offers five-star luxury, two courses - the North and the South - a golf academy and a driving range.

Recently reopened on July 1, it’s an easy drive from all 22 of the golf courses found in the Costa Calida including Hacienda del Alamo, El Valle, and La Torre.

There's also an amazing 28 tennis courts if you fancy hitting a different kind of ball plus an idyllic private beach cove that is so gorgeous it has to be seen to be believed.

Prices for a seven-day stay for a family of four at La Manga Club start from €1,350 (£1,215).

We'll see you at the beach bar.

La Touquet, France

Le Touquet Golf Resort on the northern coast of France is back open for a business with more flexible playing options.

By re-routing two holes from the resort’s 18-hole La Forêt and 9-hole Le Manoir courses, you now have the option of playing three loops of nine holes, which all return to the clubhouse.

And of course you can still take on the classic 1931 Colt & Alison designed La Mer course.

Meanwhile, the boutique-style Le Manoir Hôtel is the perfect base for your golfing holiday.

Right now the ‘golf intense’ package (it will still be relaxing, don’t worry) offers a two-night stay, three green fees and one dinner for €347 (£312) per person.

The list of countries exempt from the 14-day quarantine rule is liable to change so we suggest double checking government restrictions before booking.
