Designed for precision and control, COBRA Golf has unveiled its most advanced wedges to date — the new KING and KING-X models.
COBRA Golf’s latest KING wedges promise more spin, control, and consistency, helping you sharpen your short game with cutting-edge technology and versatile sole grinds.
Designed to help golfers hit precise, controlled shots around the green. The wedges feature cutting-edge Metal Injection Molding (MIM) construction for a softer feel and exceptional consistency.
What makes new KING Wedges special
The latest COBRA KING wedges feature a series of performance-enhancing tech:
- Metal Injection Molding (MIM): Produces a tight grain structure for a softer feel and increased precision.
- Flight Window Technology (F.W.T.): Positions the centre of gravity (CG) optimally in each loft for better ball flight and maximum spin.
- Progressive spin technology: Tailors groove design to optimise spin and control across different lofts.
- 67% larger speed notch: Improves turf interaction for cleaner contact and increased spin.
Finding the right sole grind
The new wedges are available in four distinct sole grinds to suit different playing styles and conditions:
- DROP (D) grind: High bounce with minimal trailing edge relief — great for soft turf and steeper swings.
- WIDELOW (W) grind: Wide, low-bounce sole — ideal for soft bunkers and fluffy lies.
- VERSATILE (V) grind: All-around performance with heel, toe, and trailing edge relief — suitable for different course conditions.
- TOUR (T) grind: Maximum heel and toe relief for ultimate shot-making versatility, designed with input from tour professionals.

KING-X: Extra forgiveness for everyday golfers
If you're looking for even more forgiveness, the KING-X wedge is an excellent option. Featuring a cavity back design and a deep undercut, it redistributes weight for greater stability and improved off-centre strikes.
KING-X wedges are available in lofts ranging from 48° to 60° with a choice of steel or graphite shafts.
Price, availability, and finishes
The new KING and KING-X wedges are available to purchase now. They cost £139 each and are available in three finish options:
- Satin Chrome
- Black QPQ
- RAW (custom only)
Both models come with True Temper DG Tour Issue Spinner steel shafts and Lamkin Crossline grips as standard.
