PuttOut Home Putting Studio

Women & Golf Reader Lisa Skelton from Hertfordshire shares her opinion on the PuttOut Home Putting Studio. With its easy setup and heavyweight exterior, how did it perform?

The PuttOUT Pro Putting Mat is heavyweight and rolls out with a reassuring lack of curly edges and the PuttOut Putting Mirror Trainer is easy to set up.

I began with a 3ft putt with the alignment magnets placed on the mirror and the gate 12 inches in front of the ball. The first revelation, my eyes were not over the ball at set-up. I also couldn’t putt through the gate, as my stroke was not consistently following through on line. Once I’d corrected the faults that this training aid had identified, I managed to get through the gate!

The pressure putt trainer returns the putt to you the same distance it would have gone past the hole, so this told me I was ramming the ball into the hole. Trying for a better weight putt, I was able to consistently replicate my medal card nemesis, a lip out on the right side of the hole. Fifteen minutes in, and I was consistently making putts on a good line and at a good weight.
