Two Bluetooth-connected rangefinders with app integration and post-round analytics, starting at £249.99
Blue Tees Golf has launched the Captain Series — two Bluetooth-connected rangefinders that integrate with the brand’s GAME app for GPS distances, shot tracking and post-round analytics across more than 42,000 courses worldwide.
The lineup splits into two models at distinct price points, both built around app connectivity rather than standalone yardage tools.
Captain Air — £249.99
The entry point to the range, the Captain Air covers the essentials: flag-locking with pulse vibration, 6x magnification, a 1,000-yard range and a tournament-legal slope switch. The Bluetooth connection to the GAME app adds GPS overlays and a “Find My Rangefinder” recovery feature — useful if you have a habit of leaving kit on the buggy. It’s waterproof to IP65 and includes a magnetic cart strip. At £249.99, it sits competitively against better-known names at the same price.
Captain Pro — £299.99
The flagship adds an OLED display (sharper in bright conditions than a standard LED), 7x magnification, a 1,200-yard range with claimed accuracy to within one yard, and a USB-C rechargeable battery. The customisable Action Button can be set for slope toggle or ActiveTrack pin dropping. IP67 weatherproofing means it can handle a proper British summer. Post-round analytics via the GAME app give it a data layer most rangefinders at this price don’t offer. RRP is £299.99.

Worth a look?
Blue Tees isn’t the household name that Bushnell or Garmin is in this market, but that’s reflected in the pricing. Both models undercut comparable connected rangefinders from the bigger brands while offering features — particularly the app integration and analytics — that most competitors charge more for. If you’re in the market for a connected rangefinder and don’t need the badge on the side, the Captain Series is worth serious consideration.
