With more than 80 players already confirmed at Royal Lytham & St Annes, the field for the 50th AIG Women’s Open is taking shape — but several qualifying windows remain open, from the KPMG Women’s PGA this month to Final Qualifying two days before the championship begins.
Past champions, major winners, Rolex Rankings leaders and tour order of merit placings are among the routes through which players earn a place at the AIG Women’s Open. With the 50th edition at Royal Lytham & St Annes (29 July–2 August) now less than six weeks away, most qualifying windows have closed — but a significant number of spots remain to be decided.
Here is what is still to play for.
Late June
• Women’s Amateur Champion (27 June) — amateur status must be maintained to take up the exemption
• Winner of the Tipsport Czech Ladies Open (28 June)
• KPMG Women’s PGA Champion (28 June)
• Top 50 players on the Rolex Rankings (29 June)
Early July
• Winner of the Helencourt Women’s Open (5 July)
• Top 5 (not already exempt) from the 2026 LET Order of Merit (5 July)
• Top 25 (not already exempt) from the 2026 LPGA Race to CME Globe Season (5 July)
• Top two (not already exempt) from the 2026 KLPGA Money List (5 July)
• Amundi Evian Championship Champion (12 July)
The final week
For players who have not secured their place through the tour routes, two pathways remain in the week before the championship begins.
- Pre-Qualifying at Delamere Forest (13 July) — successful players advance to Final Qualifying
- Winner of the ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open (26 July)
- Leading three golfers (not already exempt) who make the cut in the 2026 ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open (26 July)
- European Ladies’ Amateur Champion (26 July) — amateur status must be maintained
- Women’s Amateur Series Winner (26 July) — amateur status must be maintained
- Final Qualifying, number of places TBC (27 July)

Already in the field
Among the players already confirmed for Royal Lytham are world number one Nelly Korda, defending champion Miyu Yamashita, Charley Hull, Lottie Woad, Lydia Ko, Jeeno Thitikul, Lilia Vu, Brooke Henderson, Carlota Ciganda, Georgia Hall, and Mimi Rhodes.
