Chart Hills has partnered with Chapel Down to create a Kent stay-and-play that pairs a top-ranked Faldo course with a guided vineyard tour and tutored wine tasting — purpose-built for groups who want more than golf.
For women’s golf groups looking for a trip with a bit more to it, Chart Hills has come up with an answer. The Kent club has teamed up with Chapel Down winery to launch a package that builds a vineyard tour and tutored wine tasting into a two-night, two-round stay — making the off-course element as much a draw as the golf itself.
The Barn, Chart Hills’ on-site lodge, accommodates up to eight guests across four en suite bedrooms, which makes it a natural fit for a society trip or celebration weekend. Groups get a private vineyard tour and tasting at Chapel Down’s Tenterden estate as part of the booking. Dinner at The Swan at Chapel Down can be added, or the town itself has plenty of pub and restaurant options for an evening out.
Pricing starts at £279 per person Sunday to Thursday and £329 at weekends. The package includes one night at The Barn, breakfast, two rounds on the championship course, and full use of the practice facilities alongside the wine experience.
The course
Chart Hills is a Nick Faldo Signature Design. Recent investment has added The Loop, a six-hole par-three course also by Faldo, a new 668-square-metre putting green, and a full renovation of all 72 championship tee boxes. Standout holes include the par-five fifth (The Anaconda) and the island par-three 17th.
The wine

Chapel Down is among England’s most established wine producers, and its Tenterden estate is already a popular visitor destination. The tutored tasting included in the package covers sparkling and still wines — a proper sit-down session rather than a quick sample — which rounds out the day in a way that doesn’t require anyone to pick up a club again.
