Bernardus in the Netherlands is hosting this year’s Solheim Cup — and you can stay right on the course before the teams arrive.
Set in Noord-Brabant, around 30 minutes from Eindhoven Airport, Bernardus has built a reputation on the European Tour circuit — it hosted the Dutch Open three times between 2021 and 2023 — and this September it becomes the first Dutch venue to stage the Solheim Cup.
It’s also the first time the PING Junior Solheim Cup will be played on the same course as the main event, making it a significant week for women’s golf at every level. The venue is now offering a stay-and-play package that puts you on the course, at the table, and in the lodge well before the professionals arrive.
The Bernardus Experience — available Wednesday to Sunday — combines a full day’s unlimited golf with access to the driving range and practice areas, a six-course dinner at Noble Kitchen (one Michelin star), and a night in the eight-room on-site lodge.
The course was designed by Kyle Phillips and plays to proper championship standard: it’s a layout that rewards course management, with the kind of conditioning you’d expect from a venue that regularly hosts tour events.
Noble Kitchen holds a Michelin star and offers a six-course dinner — a considered menu that sits well at the end of a long day on the course. Drinks are charged separately.
The lodge and facilities
Bernardus Lodge sits directly on the course — eight modern double rooms, spacious bathrooms, immediate access to the first tee. Guests also have use of the gym, sauna, hammam, and tennis court; the outdoor heated pool opens on 1 April. It’s a small property, which means availability is limited, particularly as September approaches. Non-golfing partners are well looked after: complimentary use of all leisure facilities, with optional extras including massage and personal training.
