Event Round-Up: Women & Golf at The Grove (Part 1)

A brief review of our Women & Golf event on 12th June at The Grove - home of monsoon golf

Women & Golf visited The Grove on Monday 12th June. Henceforth known as Monsoon Monday!

Here's a brief round up of the day.

First Tee Photocall

A lovely start to the day, blue skies and lots of banter on the 1st and 10th holes as the shot gun start got underway.

And the heavens opened

With the players out on the course we headed to the Stables.

Within minutes the pitter patter of raindrops started falling on the patio. To be followed by a rain pour of monsoon proportions.

Out on the Course

There was not even enough time to put your waterproofs on!

Rain, thunder, lightning and hailstones - it was a deluge.

The Unused Prize Table

The prizes were kindly provided by our sponsors Zebra, Duca del Cosma, Motocaddy, Slingsby Gin, Wilson and Sabbot Headwear.

Don't worry we'll save them for the rescheduled event.

Goody Bags

An integral part of any golf day, each player took away a goody bag containing a W&G double ball marker & nail file.

Thanks to OCEANTEE (bamboo tees), Eucerin (sunscreen - most definitely needed) & Lester Brunt (pen - always useful) for their gifts. Gimmeballs also gave us 10% discount on their personalised golf balls. Great present idea for you and your golf friends.

Thank you so much to all the players who came to support our golf day at The Grove.

We're sorry it had to end all too soon. Thanks for taking the disappointment with good grace.

Safely home and the conservatory has the whole contents if the golf bag littered around, found things I didn’t know where in there.
Anyway no harm done and all almost completely dry.
The enormity of organising events is far more of a headache when something like yesterday curtails the day. I feel for you and good luck on getting it reorganised.
