Fine-tune your short game with world-renowned putting and short game coach, Dave Pelz at the PGA Catalunya Resort, Spain. Learn from the guru and knock shots of your score!

PGA Catalunya Resort, home of The 2014 Open de España, continues to attract golfers from across the globe wanting to fine-tune their short game with world-renowned putting and short game coach, Dave Pelz.

Having been selected in 2013 as home to the short game guru’s Spanish Golf School on account of its world-class short game practice area, PGA Catalunya Resort has hosted successful Three-Day Scoring Game Schools to a growing number of European golfers interested in improving their short game and putting techniques.

Commenting on the Golf School’s second year of operations at the European Tour Destination, Dave Pelz said: “Since bringing our Golf School curriculum to PGA Catalunya Resort, we have recognised the value this venue adds to our portfolio, providing the ideal venue for our European clients, particularly from Germany and Italy, who would have previously required a transatlantic flight to benefit from our tuition.”

The sessions, which offer the signature Dave Pelz coaching methodology, are designed to equip all students – be they complete novices or seasoned professionals – with the skills and practice techniques that promote lower scores, and, subsequently, a reduced handicap.

About the facilities and practice area at PGA Catalunya Resort, Pelz added: “People, including a Wall Street Journal writer, have called my backyard – with 8 replica greens from famous golf courses – “The World’s Greatest Golf Backyard”, so I know an extraordinary golf complex when I see one, and PGA Catalunya Resort is one of the best in the world.

“My staff is consistently blown away at the level of detail and creativity that went into building such a phenomenal area to work on your golf game. It’s a thrill to teach here, and we look forward to this visit every time it appears on the calendar.”

With a dedicated 2,000 square-metre approach-play practice area, PGA Catalunya Resort offers Spain’s largest putting and chipping green. It features Bent, Bermuda, Paspalum and Poa grass types and different sand bunkers, including Augusta National supersand, St Andrews links, Hawaii volcanic, Pebble Beach and PGA Catalunya Stadium Course sand, enabling golfers to replicate shots from iconic courses around the world, and providing ideal conditions to practice one’s short game.

Pelz concluded: “PGA Catalunya Resort is definitely one of Europe’s true ‘can’t-miss’ golf destinations.”

The next Three-Day Scoring Game School instruction at PGA Catalunya Resort will be held on September 19-21, at a cost of €1,400.
