As we approach the start of the golf season, MCB Financial Services share their golf goals and how they help you spring clean your finances as well as your clubs

In our first article with our new partner MCB Financial Services, we introduced you to the team that we are working with - Development and Project Manager, Alex Hunter and Mortgage and Protection Advisers - Hannah Stoner, Pippa Heywood, and Emma McCarter. They shared their golf experiences, thoughts on the game and how they benefit both personally and professionally from golf.

This week, we were delighted to launch our fourth annual Women & Golf Business Networking event in association with MCB Financial Services, which will take place at Royal Norwich on Friday 17th May.

Business networking and especially the networking that can be done on the golf course is often an opportunity that a lot of women miss out on. So we are hoping to attract women from the local area to find out more about the benefits of making connections on the golf course.

This is something MCB's Emma has come to value: "Golf provides the opportunity to speak to colleagues and grow the relationships with our business partners, to walk and talk is always a great way to communicate."

To time with the launch of the event and (hope of) the golf season getting underway imminently, we thought that it would be a perfect time to check back in with Alex, Hannah, Pippa and Emma, to find out what their golfing goals are for the year.

Alex - So for me, after dodging it with the winter weather we have experienced, I will be building practice back into my routine to get ready for the new season of competitive golf ahead.

Hannah - After a nasty knee injury during winter rugby, my goal for this season is to get it strong enough to be able to play a full round of golf. I will also be reviewing my private medical cover, as this can be paramount for sporting injuries.

Pip - I am looking forward to the summer when I hope to play a few short rounds whilst enjoying feeling the hot rays on my skin, laughing at some of my shots (being impressed by some also) and then enjoying a G&T after!

Emma - This year, I would really like to progress, from the lessons I had last year at the driving range, to actually playing a few holes!”
