Aviation charity fly2help are offering golfers a unique opportunity to enjoy a day of golf alongside team members from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and Red Arrows Legends at their annual charity golf day held at the Kendleshire Golf Club near Bristol on Monday 6 October 2014.
If you love golf and are a fan of aviation then why not combine the two and spend a day at the picturesque Kendleshire Golf Club, playing alongside some flying legends. Tee-off with bacon butties before your 18 holes of golf set within 260 acres of the glorious Frome valley; there are some fun challenges around the course as well as a mini crazy putting competition at the end of the day. Then swap stories about your triumphs before dinner and auction, including prizes donated by Ping.
The golf day now in its 6th year is a truly unique event where the golfing public get to play alongside the crews from both display teams and gain a great insight into the world military aviation past and present and what it takes to be a display pilot.
The fly2help charity golf day has been taking place annually since 2009. It evolved from a long established golf match between a group of golfers from Rolls-Royce and The Red Arrows. In 2009 The Red Arrows chose fly2help as one of their nominated charities to support. Knowing that many of the Red Arrows are keen golfers, it was decided that the annual Rolls Royce versus Red Arrows golf match would be an ideal event to fund raise to the benefit of fly2help. Following on from its success the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight has also chose to support fly2help and now both RAF teams take part in the golf day.
The cost of entry is £350 for two players and £450 for three players, with each team being joined by one of our high flying superstars.
