Resort operator, De Vere, has unveiled a new leisure membership - The Country Club - that will be introduced at six of its marquee properties across the UK to give members more flexibility.
De Vere has unveiled ‘The Country Club’ brand, a new form of leisure membership available at Mottram Hall, Slaley Hall, Oulton Hall, The Carrick on Loch Lomond, Belton Woods and Dunston Hall.
The membership offers an all-encompassing lifestyle proposition with a host of luxurious benefits, giving members the opportunity to live life unlimited, revelling in the amenities at each of the renowned resorts, from spa to leisure and golf to fine dining. A series of high profile investments made by De Vere across its portfolio have paved the way for ‘The Country Club’, which allows members to enjoy luxury experiences alongside world class service and comprehensive leisure facilities.
Strategic investments made by De Vere have elevated the brand to become one of the UK’s most respected premium golf and leisure providers. These investments range from refurbished hotel rooms, installation of state-of-the-art gym equipment, and luxurious leisure and spa facilities, through to golf course renovations, including new clubhouses featuring the Claret Jug bar and restaurant.
One of the most impressive refurbishments has taken place at Mottram Hall, where an extensive £6 million makeover was recently completed and led to the Cheshire venue hosting the 2013 ISPS HANDA PGA Seniors Championship on the European Senior Tour.
De Vere has become one of the pre-eminent names in UK golf, having hosted a number of high-profile professional tournaments in recent years, and showing commitment to growing the game across all levels. The group has partnerships with high profile ambassadors including 2010 Ryder Cup Captain, Colin Montgomerie, and provides support for young professionals and grass roots development. Significant investments have been made on the golf courses at Slaley Hall, Oulton Hall, Mottram Hall and The Carrick on Loch Lomond, where intense course renovations and drainage works have allowed the courses to remain fully playable all year round.
“At De Vere we have remained steadfast in our commitment to providing the highest quality of service and unforgettable experiences for all our guests,” acknowledged Robert B. Cook, CEO De Vere Hotels & Village Urban Resorts. "We committed to improving all aspects of select properties in our portfolio to match our renowned British hospitality, and ‘The Country Club’ is the culmination of these investments. It offers a new, luxury lifestyle for individuals to reward and treat themselves to well-deserved premium experiences with unlimited access to all of the exclusive facilities available at each of our resorts.”
‘The Country Club’ will sit as De Vere’s headline membership, alongside the revolutionary, flexible De Vere Club membership continuing to offer golfers the opportunity to play all courses in the De Vere collection as part of a points-based package.
“We have been proactive in speaking to our guests and visitors, identifying what they are looking for from their leisure memberships, and ‘The Country Club’ is a great, all-round health and leisure offering. The De Vere Club is unique in that it balances flexible golf club membership at great venues at an affordable price-point,” Cook elaborated. “We will continue to modify and develop the De Vere Club membership, to make sure we’re meeting the needs of every day golfers.”
