Tickets are on sale for the eagerly anticipated ISPS Handa PGA Seniors Championship which will see some of Europe’s biggest golfing legends shooting it out at Stoke by Nayland from June 5-8.

Among those teeing up are set to be Sam Torrance and Des Smyth, Europe’s newly-appointed Ryder Cup vice captains, who will put Gleneagles on the backburner as they bid for glory on the European Senior Tour’s oldest event.

Advance day passes to see the cream of senior golf are priced at just £10 with advance season tickets for all four days costing just £25. Youngsters are also encouraged to see the golf stars of the past three decades as children under-16 go free with a paying adult. Saturday has been earmarked as a family fun day.

For those who want to enhance their experience, there are a number of quality hospitality packages options from £45 for those looking to make the 72-hole showpiece even more special.

With extensive free parking and a packed tented village centrally located next to the 18th green, spectators are guaranteed a great day out and can even give their own games a boost with a free golf coaching clinic from PGA Professionals.

Meanwhile Torrance and Smyth, who were confirmed as vice captains to Paul McGinley last week, won’t be the only players in the field with Ryder Cup pedigree.

Other likely competitors include 2006 winning captain Ian Woosnam plus Eamonn Darcy, who like Woosnam was part of the first European team to win on US soil in 1987.

But the man to beat will be six-time PGA Cup player Paul Wesselingh who has come through the ranks to be Europe’s leading senior golfer including back to back PGA Senior Championship titles.
