Earlier this week, US golf star Paula Creamer broke the hearts of many male golf fans when she announced via twitter her engagement to boyfriend Derek Heath who she has been dating since March.
Earlier this week Paula Creamer, 27, the LPGA star who is ranked 13th in the world, broke many hearts by announcing her engagement via twitter to Derek Heath, a 33-year-old pilot from California.
The couple, pictured above, at this year’s Solheim Cup, met through their parents. Paula’s father and Derek’s father flew together in the Navy and both became commercial airline pilots, and they remain close friends. Paula, whose nine LPGA titles include the 2010 US Women’s Open, met Derek at the Kia Classic in March. Derek, an Air Force Academy graduate, flies C-17s, large military transports, for the Air Force. He recently moved into active reserve status. Apparently Derek proposed while skydiving. A wedding date has yet to be announced.
