Begin by holding the club upside down in your right hand (right-handed players). Place your other hand behind your back and set up in an athletic position ready to swing the club. Begin by holding the club in your right hand. Place your other hand behind your back and set up in an athletic position ready to swing the club.

Swing the club away by hinging/ bending your arm and wrist until the top of the club is above your head. This will encourage a good body turn when you swing the club normally with two hands.

From the top of the swing, make your downswing motion and stop at impact. You should notice a transfer of weight to your forward foot; hands should be slightly ahead of the club.

Progress to your full finish position which should be balanced with the majority of your weight on your forward foot.
