We look at five of the best golf dresses that are currently available on the market - something for every shape, size and budget.
While the popularity of golf dresses has increased year on year, so has the breadth of options available. Apart from the talk around golf leggings, it's the only other item of golf clothing that really seems to ignite debate. There was quite a discussion on our Facebook last year.
Personally, my reservations remain the same. Firstly, at 5ft 9 I find that with a lot of golf dresses the length of the skirt is an issue. I feel that I have too much leg on display and would prefer a more mid-thigh option. Also, not in every case but dresses without pockets are a non-starter for me, I definitely need somewhere for my tee, ball marker, glove etc.
I have a golf dress from Original Penguin's debut women's collection to test, I'll report back soon but it is short, so be gentle with the comments!

Callaway - Geo Printed Shirt Dress (£59.00)
Golfgarb.co.uk describes the Callaway Geo Printed Shirt Dress as:
"A fabulous sleeveless, jersey stretch dress from Callaway. Designed in an all-over geometric floral-style print in chic, classic navy blue and white and detailed with contrast side panels, collar and sleeve bindings; this is striking, simple dressing at its best.
What's more the technical stretch fabric is made with Callaway's Opti-Dri which wicks moisture away from the skin ensuring you remain dry and cool all day long. The stretch offers you optimal freedom of movement and maintains comfort on the course, whilst the Truesculpt waistband in the modesty shorts contours comfortably to your waist to deliver a slimming effect."
Pure Golf - Miley Paisley Golf Dress (£49.99)
Surprizeshop's own range of golf clothing Pure Golf includes the Miley Paisley Golf Dress. A versatile all-over print sleeveless golf dress with built-in detachable under-shorts. Made from anti-static, anti-crease, 4-way stretch and quick-drying fabric with built-in UVA+UVB sun protection with UPF 35 to block harmful rays on the course.
Beautiful worn on its own on warmer days or layered with a jacket for those milder spring days or for extra arm coverage. Pair with matching socks for a “put together” look.
Available in three colours. Visit Surprizeshop to find out more.
Freemans - Cotton Polo Dress (£26.99)
Like last year I wanted to add in an option from more of a 'high street' brand.
Freemans Cotton Polo Dress is based on the fashionable polo style, and features a colour contrasting stripe on the collar and inner placket, plus there are also side vents which create a straight skirt shape.
No pockets but the dress is available in five colours Black, Green, Hot Pink/White, Navy and Red. In sizes 10/12 to 30/32.
