Skechers Flow SL Golf Shoe – Size UK 6 Wide Fit
First Impressions
Opening the box, these shoes looked fresh, white ,clean and very wide – they reminded me of a shoe worn in a super clean factory environment. But they did look inviting to slip on.
Fit and Comfort
Any slight misgivings I had about the look of the shoe were immediately mitigated by the comfort. From the moment I put them on, they felt incredibly easy to wear. The wide fit provides plenty of width and lots of wiggle room for the toes.There was absolutely no rubbing or tight areas or any potential pressure points.
I played 18 holes the first time I wore them and they were very comfortable and did not need any breaking in. I usually wear Footjoy (wide fit) and these Sketchers do feel even roomier.
This is the first time that I have worn slip-in golf shoes. I usually prefer traditional laces and a snug fit, but I did see the appeal and convenience of the slip-in feature.
On The Course
In warm summer conditions these shoes have performed very well. They offer a reliable grip on fairways, rough and around the greens and felt stable throughout the round. I haven’t had a chance to test the waterproof claim but feel these shoes are definitely designed for summer and warm weather golf.
Style
Personally these shoes are a little too ‘industrial’ for me off the course. I would prefer a little more colour or a stying feature to break up the white expanse! They are smart enough for the clubhouse in a clean condition.
