Join Women & Golf at the ninth annual Simplify Consulting Charity Golf Day at Hamptworth Golf Club this June.

Simplify Consulting, the headline sponsor of Women & Golf's 40 by 40 challenge, is hosting its ninth annual charity golf day.

Women & Golf are looking forward to entering a team and heading down to Hamptworth Golf Club for the event on Friday 16th June. Why don't you join us by entering a team?

The Simplify Consulting charity golf day in aid of Smile4Wessex, a charity supporting neurological conditions at Southampton General Hospital, will again be supported by their headline sponsor, Rodford Engineering.

Hamptworth Golf Club

Hamptworth Golf Club is nestled within the New Forest National Park, near Salisbury in Wiltshire. The club has recently undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment of the clubhouse with absolutely stunning results.

The parkland golf course weaves through the beautiful woodland of the Hamptworth estate. The signature hole at Hamptworth, is the 16th, known as 'The Beast', it's the only Par 6 in England and plays at 666 yards from the back tee. It's a little less intimidating 444 yard par 5 from the forward tee!

Recruiting more women to take part

Women & Golf spoke to Simplify Consulting Director Kate Monserrate last year, where she highlighted that working in a male-dominated finance industry has led to very few women attending the charity day:

"We liken the way we prepare and run our charity golf day to our business. The values and behaviours that golf brings really resonate with our company values of professionalism, tenacity and integrity.

"We involve the whole team in the golf day, where they are either helping the players or playing golf themselves. There’s a real family feel to the event and we don't limit it to you needing a certain handicap, we welcome all abilities, all ages and genders.

"But sadly, over the past eight years, we've only had a handful of women. Last year, we didn't have any female players, which is a real shame, especially from my point of view as a female golfer."

This is a trend that we hope to help Simplify Consulting change this year.

Come and join us and Simplify Consulting for what will be a fabulous day of golf raising money for a truly worthwhile cause. We also heard that Strictly Come Dancing's Kai Widdrington took part last year and should be attending again (if that helps sway your decision)!
