The Dalaman Golf Club launches August 30, the first course built on this stretch of Türkiye’s southwest coastline as the region looks to golf to extend its tourist season.
Women golfers heading to Türkiye’s Dalaman Coast this autumn will have a new course to play. The Dalaman Golf Club, managed by Hilton Dalaman Sarıgerme Resort & Golf, opens on August 30, the first course built on this part of the coastline.
The par-72 layout, designed by the International Design Group, measures 6,152 metres (6,728 yards) from the back tees and sits on natural sandy soil bordered by beaches, lakes and a stopover site for migratory birds. Its signature hole is the par-five 15th, which drops 25 metres from the tee, with a nature reserve running down one side of the fairway and a lake on the other, opening out to Mediterranean views.
For women travelling as part of a group or with non-golfing family, the wider resort matters as much as the course itself. Facilities include a 20-bay driving range, with ten bays fitted with TrackMan technology, a putting green, short-game area, clubhouse, restaurant and halfway house, all attached to the ultra-all-inclusive Hilton resort, which has its own private beach, spa and dining options for those splitting time between golf and downtime.
General manager Umit Yasar Atalay said the region’s growing air connectivity and tourism infrastructure made the timing right to add championship golf, positioning the destination to compete for golf travellers beyond the traditional Turkish coastal resorts of Belek and Antalya.
