Six-time LPGA tour winner and Solheim Cup star Jessica Korda has announced her pregnancy, sharing a cute post with her followers on social media

Jessica Korda has announced that she is expecting a baby boy with husband Johnny DelPrete in February 2024. The six-time LPGA Tour winner took to her social media channels on August 25, to make the happy announcement.

With the help of their Mini Goldendoodle, Charlie, the caption read 💙 update 💙, with an image of Charlie behind a sign that said "DelPrete Tee Time for 3 Coming February 2024". Accompanying the board was a pair of baby FootJoy shoes.

Korda has been sidelined with a back injury since May, having only played in six LPGA Tour events this season.

In May, the 30-year-old explained via Instagram the reasoning behind the difficult decision to take a break and focus on being able to compete at the highest level again:

"The last year has been an extremely challenging time for me as I struggle with an injury in my back. Following the advice of my doctor and the guidance of my physio, we've committed countless hours of treatment at home and on the road for me to try and get my body healthy and ready to compete each week.

"Unfortunately, we've reached a point where the pain is not improving, forcing me to withdraw from several tournaments. As a competitor, it is upsetting to have to do this time and time again. At the advice of my medical team, I have made the tough decision to stop playing until I can get my back fully healthy.

"At this point, we don't have a firm timeframe for my return but I'm working with the best of the best and am focused on coming back as soon as possible."

We'll have to wait and see when Korda will make her return to the LPGA tour but when she does, she'll be an LPGA Mom.

We wish Jessica all the best with the rest of her pregnancy and recuperation from her injury. Hopefully, we'll see her on the fairways in 2024.
