They sit tied 10th on 219 after the third round of the 72-hole strokeplay competition. Sammy Fuller, back from a successful trip in Florida shot 72, whilst Scottish Open Strokeplay champion Mehaffey finished with a 73.
Maria Parra (Spain), the European champion and world No 3 female amateur, has led from the start and is five shots clear of the field with three sub-70 rounds for 13-under 203.
Scotland's Gemma Batty was the best of the brits on day 3 with a two-under par 70 for a share of 23rd place.
