Anna Davis, a 16-year-old from California, shot a three-under-par 69 around Augusta National to hold the clubhouse lead at one-under-par, a score that would see her win the Augusta National Women's Amateur by one shot.
She achieved this all whilst wearing a bucket hat which gained a lot of attention.
When asked about her bucket hat look, which her family were also sporting on the final day. She explained that she began wearing one at the Girls Junior PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville in 2021.
Her father told her she was getting sunburned on her nose and suggested the wide-brimmed hat. She took his advice and ended up winning by seven strokes, earning her invitation to the Augusta National Women’s Amateur.
