The Japanese tend to be light-years ahead when it comes to design technology and they have certainly got to work on the high-tech drawing boards with this new Yonex VXF Fairway Wood.
The key feature is the clubhead size, which is 10% larger than a traditional fairway wood, making it incredibly easy to use from the fairway or off the tee. The added size increases the sweet spot for maximum forgiveness and effortless accuracy.
W&G says: "This fairway wood is well balanced and the shaft works perfectly with the clubhead to boost power and forgiveness, particularly on mishits, so an excellent choice for the higher handicapper who hits the ball inconsistently. The rose pink grip and pink shaft gives this wood feminine class against the sleek black clubhead. While it looks great, the lack of alignment markings on the crown will cause some lady golfers to struggle to aim the club at address."
