A patterned slim leg or a plain navy flare? These two pull-on styles offer different shapes, pocket arrangements and ways to build a golf outfit.
If you like the simplicity of pulling on leggings for golf, the choice need not begin and end with a close-fitting black pair. The shape below the knee changes how a legging sits over your shoes, while the waistband and pockets matter when you are carrying tees or bending to mark a ball.
We have picked two contrasting navy options: Swing Out Sister’s patterned Tamzin and J.Lindeberg’s plain Fiona flare. This is a comparison of their designs and the brands’ published details, rather than a wear test. Neither should be mistaken for a waterproof or insulated winter trouser.
Swing Out Sister Tamzin: A Slim Leg With Pattern

Tamzin’s white geometric pattern makes the lower half of the outfit the focal point. A plain navy polo or knit would let that print stand on its own; you do not need a matching patterned top to make it work.
The practical details include a wide elastic pull-on waistband, side and back pockets, and a stated 27-inch leg. Swing Out Sister lists the fabric as 65% nylon and 35% spandex with four-way stretch. That shorter, slim silhouette is worth considering if you prefer a hem that finishes close to the ankle, although where it lands will depend on your height and proportions.
At the 12 October check, Megabyte Navy was £49.95 in the sale, reduced from £59.99, with XS selected and available to order. Sizes XS–XL were listed; check your chosen size before buying.
J.Lindeberg Fiona: A Plain Navy Flare

Fiona is the alternative if you want a fitted upper leg with more width below the knee. The plain JL Navy colour gives you scope to wear a patterned top without competing prints, while the flare creates a different outline over a golf shoe.
J.Lindeberg specifies a high waist, flatlock seams, four-way stretch Sport Jersey and a centre-back pocket. That pocket arrangement is a useful distinction from Tamzin’s side and back pockets: consider what you actually want to carry on your person during a round.
The UK page showed £85 and an in-stock message when checked on 12 October, with XS–XL listed. Check individual size availability and the garment measurements rather than assuming your usual size will fit identically across the two brands.
Check The Hem With Your Golf Shoes
Try either shape with the shoes you will play in, and check the waistband when you bend and rotate. With a flare, make sure the hem clears the ground. If you plan to add waterproof trousers, check that they fit comfortably over the leggings. Your club’s dress code and the day’s forecast should guide the final choice.
Prices and source availability checked 12 October 2026 and may change.
