Cocoa, caramel, cappuccino and seal brown are moving into women’s golf collections. Here are five easy ways to wear autumn’s warmer neutral on the course.
Navy and black are not going anywhere, but this autumn there is another neutral creeping into women’s golf wardrobes. Brands are calling it Cocoa Beach, Caramel Latte, Cappuccino and Seal Brown; collectively, it points to the same shift towards warmer, earthier colour.
That matters because brown is surprisingly easy to wear. It works with cream and winter white, sits comfortably alongside navy, and gives pinks, pale blues and greens a softer backdrop than black. You do not need a head-to-toe tonal outfit either. One brown piece is enough to change the feel of clothes you already own.
SWING OUT SISTER HARPER STRETCH TROUSER — COCOA BEACH | £59.95
A brown trouser is perhaps the easiest place to start. Harper’s warm cocoa shade works with cream, navy, black, soft green and patterned tops, while the pull-on design and stretch fabric keep it firmly in practical golf territory. Treat it exactly as you would a navy trouser and the colour suddenly becomes much less intimidating.

SWING OUT SISTER NATASHA RIBBED ROLL NECK — CARAMEL LATTE | £39.99
Caramel Latte is a softer way into the trend. The fitted ribbed roll neck is designed as a first layer, so only a small amount of colour needs to show beneath a gilet, knit or jacket. Pair it with cream for a tonal look, or use it to warm up navy and dark brown.

SWING OUT SISTER MATILDA LINED KNIT SWEATER — CARAMEL LATTE | £79.99
For a more substantial dose of the colour, Matilda combines a ribbed knit with windproof and waterproof panels and a soft lining. The clean, slim shape keeps the caramel shade looking polished rather than rustic. This is the piece to pair with dark trousers when you want the warmer neutral to lead the outfit.

PURE GOLF SUZIE WATERPROOF SNOOD — CAPPUCCINO | £15.99
Not convinced enough to buy a brown jacket or trousers? Start with an accessory. Pure Golf’s Cappuccino snood combines a knitted outer, waterproof inner layer and fleece lining. Against navy, cream or black outerwear it introduces the colour without requiring you to rebuild the rest of your outfit.

J.LINDEBERG DARIA FAUX FUR BALL VEST — SEAL BROWN | £130
Daria takes the trend beyond conventional golf layering. The textured faux-fur vest has a sleeveless shape that can sit over a knit or lightweight long sleeve, giving Seal Brown a more fashion-led treatment. It is the least traditional golf piece in this edit, but also the clearest example of how the colour can travel beyond the course.

HOW TO WEAR BROWN WITHOUT LOOKING TOO TONAL
The easiest combinations are brown with cream, navy or winter white. If you want more colour, try pale blue, muted green or soft pink rather than adding another dark neutral.
Texture helps too. Ribbed knits, fleece and faux fur stop an all-neutral palette looking flat, while a brown trouser gives patterned tops a quieter base.
And if brown still feels like too much of a departure from your usual golf wardrobe, start small. A roll neck showing beneath a navy gilet or a cappuccino snood with your existing waterproof is enough to make the trend feel current without making it complicated.
