Set up with your lead leg as the pivot point
Position 60–70% of your weight on your lead side at address, with slightly more flex in the lead knee and the trail leg a little more extended, so your body has a natural anchor to turn around.
Use the wrench drill to extend your backswing
From this setup, focus on driving your trail hip pocket back towards the centre of your back — this creates a bigger, more controlled turn than most senior golfers thought possible given their flexibility.
Let your arms swing rather than your body lunge
On the downswing, resist the habit of firing your torso at the ball; instead, allow your arms to swing freely around your body, which adds an extra power source and keeps the club on a shallower, more accurate path through impact.
