Ball position varies by club
For mid-irons play the ball just left of centre, move it slightly forward for long irons, and centre to right of centre for wedges to deliver the club at the right moment.
Use the hip-hinge drill to set your posture
Hold the club out at belly-button height, bend from the hips until it touches the ground, and wherever it lands flat is exactly where you should be standing — no guessing required.
A tee drill trains ball-then-ground contact
Place a tee just in front of the ball and focus on striking the ball first and clipping the tee after — this simple cue encourages correct weight shift and produces clean, consistent divots.
