J.Lindeberg has announced a major leap in sportswear with the launch of Solarcore®, an insulating material built for extreme warmth. The innovation debuts in their Autumn Winter 2025 collection.
Space-Age Warmth Without the Weight
Aerogel technology, originally developed by NASA, is at the heart of Solarcore®. The material is known as the lightest and most insulating ever created, once used to protect astronauts in space. For the first time, J.Lindeberg brings this level of protection to everyday outerwear with styles designed for both the golf course and the slopes.
Designed for Comfort, On and Off the Course
Solarcore® insulation is engineered to keep the wearer warm in harsh cold—down to –50°C. Unlike traditional heavyweight winter gear, Solarcore® gives golfers and outdoor enthusiasts warmth in a light, flexible layer. This allows for free movement and a modern, sleek fit, without the typical bulk.

The FW25 collection features Solarcore® in ski jackets, pants, golf outerwear, mid-layer vests, and cold-weather accessories such as ski gloves. The line aims to combine science-backed performance with minimalist Scandinavian design.
According to Neil Lewty, Chief Creative Officer at J.Lindeberg, “Bringing Solarcore® to sportswear marks a new era for J.Lindeberg… we’re fusing cutting-edge science with modern design.” The goal is to offer pieces that protect against the elements while looking sharp on and off the golf course.
