Golf and wine package pairs world-class courses with Médoc vineyards
A seasonal escape in French wine country
Cabot Bordeaux has introduced a Golf & Wine Package that combines play on two of France’s leading golf courses with time in the vineyards of the Médoc. Timed to coincide with the autumn grape harvest, the package offers visitors a chance to experience both the region’s golf and its celebrated wine culture.
Two top-ranked courses
At the heart of the package are Cabot Bordeaux’s two acclaimed layouts:
- The Châteaux Course, designed by Bill Coore in 1987 and ranked 9th in France.
- The Vignes Course, also ranked in the nation’s Top 30, known for its distinctive setting and varied design.
Coore, together with partner Ben Crenshaw, has also designed other courses within the Cabot portfolio, including Cabot Cliffs (Canada) and Cabot Saint Lucia.
What’s included
The Golf & Wine Package includes:
- Two nights in a Classic Double Room with breakfast
- One green fee per person (Châteaux or Vignes course)
- One three-course dinner per person
- A welcome bottle of Bordeaux wine
- A guided visit and tasting at a Médoc château
- Complimentary access to the Spa by Cinq Mondes
Prices start at €764 for two people.
Wine and harvest season
The Médoc’s temperate climate means a longer harvest season than many other wine regions. White grapes are typically picked from late August, followed by red varieties into mid-September. Many châteaux welcome visitors during this period for tastings, tours, and harvest experiences.
Guests can also add curated extras such as a blending workshop at Château Pape Clément, a cycling tour of the Châteaux Route with picnic, or private vineyard visits with vintage car travel and spa treatments.
Booking information
The package is available for both short breaks and longer stays. More details are available at cabotbordeaux.com/golf/golf-and-wine or by emailing contact@cabotbordeaux.com
