Toyo Tires renews partnership with the AIG Women’s Open for 2023.
Toyo Tire Holdings of Europe GmbH (President Kenta Kuribayashi), announces their renewed partnership with the 2023 AIG Women’s Open at Walton Heath.
TOYO TIRES sponsorship of the AIG Women’s Open has become par for the course.
For the fifth consecutive year the Japanese tyre manufacturer is partnering with the AIG Women’s Open, as a Patron and the Official Tyre. This year’s championship will take place at Walton Heath in Surrey from the 10th-13th August.
Colin Pears, Toyo Tyre (UK) Ltd Managing Director, said: “We are happy and excited to be an Official Patron of the Women’s Open for our fifth year. It provides us with a great opportunity to be associated with a sporting event that is revered and enjoyed by millions worldwide.”
AIG Women's Open
First established in 1976 and now organised by The R&A, the AIG Women’s Open is one of five major championships in women’s golf.
Each year a top-quality international field of 144 players compete for the championship trophy with the low amateur, who plays 72 holes, awarded the Smyth Salver.
South African Ashleigh Buhai is the defending AIG Women’s Open Champion after her victory at Muirfield in 2022 – her first major title.
After the AIG Women's Open was played at Muirfield for the very first time in 2022, the Championships heads for the wonderful Surrey venue of Walton Heath in 2023.
Toyo Tyres at the AIG Women's Open
An historic golf course that has played an integral role in golf history, Walton Heath will present a wonderful test for the game's greatest golfers. Future venues include St Andrews (2024) and Royal Porthcawl (2025). The prize fund for this year is a fabulous $7.3million (£5.7million approx.)
As a partner of the AIG Women’s Open, Toyo Tires has been on board since 2019 when it was played at Woburn in England, in 2020 at Royal Troon Golf Club in Scotland and Carnoustie Golf Links in 2021 then Muirfield a year ago.
Toyo Tires will once again have its coverage in full swing and will actively support this major sporting event in the press and their own, and other media outlets, social media channels.
