Women & Golf become the Exclusive Media Partner of the Women’s English Masters at Hurlston Hall

Women & Golf, the leading media brand in the UK for women’s golf, is delighted to announce that they have been named as the Exclusive Media Partner of the inaugural Women’s English Masters.

The Women’s English Masters is part of the 2023 LET Access Series and will take place at Hurlston Hall in Ormskirk, Lancashire from September 1-3.

The Women’s English Masters is set to offer one of the biggest prize funds on the LET Access Series and is highly driven in their aim to put women’s golf and golf in Lancashire on the map.

There are four tournament initiatives:

  1. Reduce the gender pay gap in professional golf
  2. Raise £5,000 for the tournament charity ‘Young Minds’
  3. Achieve Net Zero Emissions for the event
  4. Introduce 250 women and girls into golf

Last year, Hurlston Hall played host to an OCEANTEE WPGA Series event, where the total prize fund was £20,000, the biggest purse and first prize (£4,250) for a single WPGA event to date. 54 professionals took part including former U.S. Women’s Open champion Alison Nicholas and several English LET players, including Lauren Taylor who was victorious on the day.

The event was such a success that Hurlston Hall has now partnered with the LET Access Series to host the rebranded Woman's English Masters for the next three years.

During the three-day event there will be a full tour set up on the driving range with the support of golf’s major manufacturers. Lancashire Golf Week will run alongside the tournament, offering complimentary coaching and golf activities to all 139 Lancashire Golf Clubs.

Lee Williams, General Manager at Hurlston Hall and Tournament Director of the Women’s English Masters, is the driving force behind this new LET Access Series tournament:

“Our aim is to grow the event to the largest English Woman's professional event behind The Open, we are confident the prize fund will continue to increase as new sponsors come on board.”

Emma Ballard, Editor of Women & Golf, is looking forward to working closely with Hurlston Hall to elevate the Women’s English Masters and help it to reach a new audience:

“The passion and drive that Lee and the team at Hurlston Hall have for women’s golf is infectious. But what is really refreshing, is that it isn’t just lip service. They are fully committed to making this the best event it can be. Giving an increased exposure to women’s professional golf and its players and actively helping to raise the profile of women’s golf in the UK and beyond.

“It is going to be a privilege to work with such a forward-thinking club and event. We can’t wait to see the tournament come to fruition in September.”
