Anne van Dam has named her 12 for the 2026 Junior Solheim Cup — the first time the event has been played on a Solheim Cup course.
Anne van Dam has confirmed the 12 players who will represent Team Europe at the 2026 PING Junior Solheim Cup (PJSC), taking place at Bernardus Golf in the Netherlands on 7–8 September — immediately ahead of the Solheim Cup itself, staged on the same course from 11–13 September. It’s the first time the two events have shared a venue.
The 12 who qualified and were picked
Six nations are represented across the squad. Six players qualified directly through the PJSC’s European ranking, which ran across ten events from January 2026:
- Anna Ludvová (Czech Republic)
- Adriana García Terol (Spain)
- Lena Geier (Germany)
- Sofía Maier-Borst (Germany)
- Lauren Crump (England)
- Lana Guyot (Switzerland)
Van Dam added six captain’s picks to complete the side:
- Axelle Guillemard and Alice Kong (France)
- Carlota López Minguela, Marta Muñoz and Carolina Pérez-Tasso (Spain)
- Annabel Peaford (England).
Muñoz’s route in, and the other standout performances
Muñoz’s selection followed a strong week at the R&A Girls’ Amateur Championship at Craigielaw, where she beat qualifying teammate García Terol in the final. Elsewhere in that qualifying window, Germany’s Lena Geier topped the stroke-play stage and Switzerland’s Lana Guyot reached the semi-finals, while France’s Axelle Guillemard’s run to the quarter-finals was enough to catch her captain’s eye.
Full circle for van Dam
For van Dam, the appointment carries a personal thread: she played for Europe in the 2013 Junior Solheim Cup before going on to represent the senior side in 2019, and will also serve as a vice-captain to Team Europe’s Solheim Cup captain, Anna Nordqvist, later in the same week. Her own 2013 teammate Bronte Law is her vice-captain for the junior side.
Format and the record book
The Junior Solheim Cup — for golfers aged 18 and under — has built a track record of producing future Solheim Cup players; Charley Hull, Carlota Ciganda, Nelly Korda and Lexi Thompson all came through it. This is the 14th edition, and Europe will be looking for a third win in four attempts, having taken the trophy in 2021 and 2023 before losing on US soil in 2024. Morgan Pressel captains the USA side.
Play runs six foursomes and six fourball matches on Monday 7 September, followed by 12 singles matches on Tuesday 8 September, before the junior players stay on through the week to watch the Solheim Cup get under way.
