Charley Hull ended a three-year wait for victory by winning the 2025 Kroger Queen City Championship at TPC River’s Bend. Her third LPGA Tour title marks a major moment for English women’s golf.
Charley, 29, from Kettering, clinched her first LPGA win since 2022, breaking a 1,077-day drought. After placing second at the same event in 2023, Hull’s win was both redemption and a milestone—she’s now the first Englishwoman to secure this championship.
A Year of Consistency
Hull’s latest triumph comes amid a strong season, with three top-10 finishes and eleven made cuts in thirteen events. She joins Lottie Woad as the second English winner on Tour this year, signalling a strong presence for English women on the global stage.
Woad herself had another great performance, finishing tied for third place.
But the win follows a period of injury and frustration after a string of injuries, including a torn ligament in her foot and lingering back issues. She revealed she was told she could be sidelined for nine weeks, but returned in three.
“I’ve been managing a lot physically, but hard work pays off. It’s been a bit of a drought with all the second-place finishes, so this feels extra good.”
Building an Impressive Resume
Since turning pro in 2013, Hull has tallied over $10 million in career earnings and represented Europe in seven Solheim Cups. She’s also a two-time Olympian and claims four Ladies European Tour victories, as well as 2013’s LET Rookie of the Year honors. These achievements underscore her longevity and influence in the sport.
Hull acknowledged how competitive the LPGA Tour has become, noting the record 25 different winners this season:
“It shows how strong the depth is now. You’ve got to play well every single week to win.”
