Dundonald Links and Malahide Golf Club confirmed for back-to-back tournaments in July
Two of the most anticipated events in women’s professional golf are returning to familiar ground in 2026, as Dundonald Links in Scotland and Malahide Golf Club in Ireland are confirmed as host venues for the Women’s Scottish Open and Women’s Irish Challenge, respectively.
These back-to-back tournaments will bring top talent from the Ladies European Tour and LPGA Tour to two of the sport’s most scenic coastal courses between July 23 and 31.
Dundonald Links to Welcome World’s Best for the Scottish Open
Dundonald Links will once again host the ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open, set for July 23–26, 2026, marking the fifth consecutive year — and eighth time in 12 years — the Ayrshire venue has staged the event.
The 2025 tournament drew record crowds and saw England’s Lottie Woad clinch her maiden professional victory. Expectations are high as the Scottish Open returns to a course praised for its challenging layout and championship-ready conditions.
Dundonald, located on Scotland’s west coast, has become a key venue for women’s golf, and the 2026 edition will be the only LPGA Tour stop in Scotland that season.
“To be chosen once again is a tremendous honour,” said David-Ross Nicol, director of golf at Dundonald Links. “The record crowds this summer showed how strongly fans connect with world-class women’s golf here.”
Malahide Golf Club to Host Women’s Irish Challenge Again
Just a few days later, the spotlight will shift to Malahide Golf Club, where the Women’s Irish Challenge returns from July 27–31, 2026. The tournament will be held at the historic Dublin-area club for a second straight year, following a successful debut in 2025.

With strong local support, vibrant crowds, and a well-regarded layout, Malahide impressed players and fans alike. The earlier slot on the summer calendar is expected to boost turnout even further, especially among junior and aspiring players.
“We are thrilled to return,” said Cian Branagan, CEO of ForeFront Group. “Last year’s tournament exceeded expectations, and we look forward to building on that success.”
Eddie Farrell, General Manager at Malahide, added:
“We’re delighted to welcome back players from across the world, alongside outstanding homegrown talent. The 2026 Women’s Irish Challenge promises to be an unmissable week.”
