Hull, Hall, Dryburgh, and Rhodes headline field at Dundonald Links
The 2025 ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open will once again bring elite women’s golf to the Ayrshire coast, with a strong British contingent confirmed for the event at Dundonald Links from July 24–27. Among those returning are established stars Charley Hull, Georgia Hall, and Gemma Dryburgh, joined by rising English standout Mimi Rhodes, who is set to make her tournament debut.
Familiar Faces Return to Scottish Shores
Charley Hull, currently ranked World No.17, will make her tenth appearance at the event and arrives with momentum after a fifth-place finish last year. Known for her success on links courses and eight Solheim Cup appearances, Hull is aiming to build on her past performances at Dundonald.
“Dundonald Links is a great host, and staying onsite makes everything so easy for us players,” Hull said. “I’ve had a few decent finishes here and had a top 5 last year, so will look to improve on that this summer.”
Georgia Hall, the 2019 AIG Women’s Open champion, also brings strong links credentials to the field. She’s consistently performed well at this tournament, including a top-12 finish last year and a career-best of T9 in 2017.
Home Support for Dryburgh
Scotland’s Gemma Dryburgh will be leading the home charge in her ninth appearance at the Women’s Scottish Open. The 2022 TOTO Japan Classic winner is looking forward to the energy of a home crowd.
“Having all my family and friends there to support me, as well as playing in front of the Scottish crowd, is so much fun,” said Dryburgh. “I’ve been working hard and feeling good about my game.”
A Rising Star Makes Her Debut
Joining the veterans is 24-year-old Mimi Rhodes, currently No.1 on the Ladies European Tour. After turning professional following a standout amateur career, Rhodes has already secured three LET victories this season and is widely regarded as one of Britain’s top emerging talents.
A Growing Tradition at Dundonald Links
This will be the fourth consecutive year the tournament is held at Dundonald Links, which underwent a major transformation in 2022 under the ownership of Darwin Escapes. The course has since cemented its reputation as a premier venue for links golf.
David Ross Nicol, director of golf at Dundonald Links, praised the tournament’s development: “This event continues to grow in prestige, and having world-class players like Charley Hull, Gemma Dryburgh, Georgia Hall and Mimi Rhodes competing here is a real honour.”
Now in its second year with ISPS HANDA as title sponsor, the Women’s Scottish Open continues to receive strong backing from the Scottish Government and VisitScotland, reinforcing its status as a key event in the women’s golf calendar.
