New CEO brings global experience and a strong vision for the future of women’s golf.
The Ladies European Tour (LET) has announced the appointment of Tom Phillips as its new Chief Executive Officer. He will officially step into the role on April 6, 2026.
Phillips brings more than two decades of experience in the international golf and leisure industry. He is currently Director of Middle East for the DP World Tour, where he has overseen a period of expansion and strategic growth, including the rollout of six events across the region—three of which are part of the prestigious Rolex Series. Combined with additional tournaments on the HotelPlanner Tour, the Middle East schedule now features over $35 million in prize money.
A Global Perspective
LET Chair Marta Figueras Dotti called Phillips “a highly respected leader with deep international experience and a strong track record of delivering sustainable growth.” She noted his commercial acumen and passion for the game as key strengths in guiding the LET forward.
Liz Moore, Chair of the LPGA-LET Joint Venture Board, echoed the sentiment: “Tom brings a global perspective and a clear understanding of how to grow professional sport in a way that benefits athletes, partners and fans.”
Proven Track Record in Player Development
Before joining the DP World Tour in 2019, Phillips worked closely with six-time major winner Sir Nick Faldo. As CEO of the Faldo Series, he helped expand the junior golf initiative to 40 tournaments in 30 countries. He later led the Hong Kong Golf Association and managed events such as the Hong Kong Open, while also holding business development roles in Asia with Mission Hills, where he built cross-industry partnerships with global sports brands like FC Barcelona and the NBA.
Returning to the UK
“The Ladies European Tour has a proud history and an exciting future,” Phillips said in a statement. “I’m honoured to take on this role and look forward to working with the board, the team and the players to continue strengthening the Tour, expanding its global reach and creating even more opportunities for women in the game.”
Originally from England, Phillips has lived and worked in Asia and the Middle East since 2005. He will relocate back to the UK to take on the role in April.
