Former LPGA star leads launch of new grassroots Clubhouse initiative in Cape Town
Golf Hall of Famer Sally Little has partnered with DP World to launch a new grassroots initiative aimed at expanding access to the game for young people—starting in her home country of South Africa.
The new Clubhouse program, created by DP World, delivers custom-built learning spaces to underserved golf communities around the world. The first of these Clubhouses was officially opened in Cape Town this month in collaboration with the Sally Little Golf Trust, an organisation founded by the two-time major champion to empower young women through the sport. Little, one of South Africa’s most accomplished professional golfers, rose to international fame during her LPGA career with 15 tour wins and a reputation for fierce competitiveness. Today, she’s using that same drive to uplift the next generation—this time through mentorship, education, and opportunity.
Supporting the Next Generation
The Sally Little Golf Trust uses golf as a platform to teach life skills like respect, perseverance, and self-motivation. The new Clubhouse will support that mission by providing a dedicated space for training, storage, and learning—equipped and delivered through DP World’s logistics expertise.
DP World’s Clubhouse initiative builds on the company’s ongoing efforts to support youth through golf, following projects like the Second Life Container campaign, which repurposed shipping containers to distribute hundreds of thousands of used golf balls globally.More Clubhouses are expected to launch worldwide as the initiative expands.
