LET professional to train and represent her former home base in southern Spain
Mimi Rhodes, the current leader on the Ladies European Tour rankings, has been named the official touring professional for Sotogrande, returning to a region closely tied to her golfing roots.
The 23-year-old, who has claimed three LET victories this season and is in strong contention for the 2025 Order of Merit, grew up playing in Sotogrande. Her connection to the area, known for its high-calibre golf courses and year-round training conditions, makes the partnership a natural fit.
Rhodes will now base her practice and preparation at The Alto Club Sotogrande and the soon-to-open Alto Academy, part of the SO/ Sotogrande Spa & Golf Resort. She’ll carry The Alto Club branding on her apparel and equipment for the rest of the season.
“It’s great to be back,” said Rhodes. “Sotogrande has always felt like home to me. I’ve spent so much time here over the years, both on and off the course, and I’m proud to now represent it while playing on tour.”
Rita Jordão, Director of Marketing for Sotogrande SA, added: “Mimi’s connection to Sotogrande goes back years, and we’re pleased to officially welcome her into the fold. She represents the best of the game and the region.”
Rhodes is expected to make full use of the Alto Academy’s new training facilities, including a performance zone and par-3 course, once it opens in the coming weeks. The academy was recently announced as a key base for Suzann Pettersen, who has joined as global ambassador.
