Armas to leave LET in October after six years of transformative leadership
Alexandra Armas, Chief Executive Officer of the Ladies European Tour (LET), will step down from her role on October 1, 2025, the Tour announced today. Her departure marks the end of a six-year tenure that has seen the LET grow in stature, expand its global footprint, and strengthen its position in professional women’s golf.
A Period of Growth and Global Collaboration
Armas took on the CEO role in 2020 and has since overseen a period of rapid development for the LET. During her leadership, total prize money on the Tour more than doubled, providing players with greater earning potential and reflecting a broader investment in the women’s game. The schedule also expanded significantly, offering more playing opportunities across a wider range of international venues.
One of Armas’ most notable achievements was the deepening of ties between the LET and the LPGA through a joint venture that unified strategic efforts to grow women’s golf. The collaboration has played a key role in raising the game’s global profile and fostering a more inclusive and competitive environment for athletes.
Tributes from the Golfing Community
“It has been an honour to serve as CEO of the Ladies European Tour,” said Armas. “I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved — from expanding the schedule and prize funds to building a stronger, more sustainable future through international collaboration. I want to thank the players, partners, board members, and the exceptional team at the LET for their support and commitment.”
Liz Moore, Chair of the LPGA-LET Joint Venture Board, described Armas as a “transformative force,” noting her role in driving progress not just in terms of finances and playing opportunities, but also in “building a collaborative, international vision for women’s professional golf.”
Marta Figueras Dotti, Chair of the LET Ltd. Board, echoed those sentiments: “Alex’s dedication to the LET and the women who compete on it has been extraordinary. She has led with courage and care, helping to shape the modern identity of the Tour.”
What’s Next for the LET
The LET and its Joint Venture Board have engaged executive search firm Elevate Talent to identify a successor, with more details on the search process to be announced soon. Armas will continue to support the Tour in a transitional role until her departure this fall.
After six years of growth and transformation, Alexandra Armas will leave her role as CEO of the Ladies European Tour this October.
