Solheim Cup Carnage: Charley Hull takes on Bernardus with best pal Ryan Evans

What happens when Charley Hull gets together with best pal Ryan Evans for a round at the 2026 Solheim Cup venue? Plenty of golf, plenty of laughs and, in their words, a little bit of “Solheim Cup Carnage”.

The Solheim Cup is almost here. Soon Bernardus will be packed with spectators, the pressure will be intense and every shot will matter.

But before all that, Charley Hull has been getting acquainted with the course in rather more relaxed circumstances.

Hull and best pal Ryan Evans headed to the Netherlands to play the Solheim Cup layout for their Sweet Spot Golf YouTube channel – and the resulting video is aptly titled Solheim Cup Carnage.

Best friends, brilliant golf and plenty of banter

Hull and Evans have known each other since their junior golf days, and that friendship is a big part of what makes Sweet Spot so watchable.

This isn’t a polished course guide or a serious discussion about Solheim Cup strategy. It’s two very good golfers playing a competitive round, having fun and giving each other plenty of stick along the way.

And Hull, away from the pressure of tournament golf, is very much herself.

A first look at the Solheim Cup stage

Amid the laughs, there’s also a rather useful bonus.

We get to see Hull actually playing the course where she will soon be representing Europe – and get a feel for some of the shots and challenges the players will face when the Solheim Cup begins.

Bernardus will host the competition for the first time from September 11–13, when Anna Nordqvist’s European team attempts to win back the trophy from the USA.

Charley Hull heads back with Team Europe

The next time Hull tees it up at Bernardus, things will feel very different.

She heads into her eighth Solheim Cup as one of Europe’s most experienced players and one of the team’s biggest characters.

Hull topped the LET Solheim Cup Points List to qualify automatically and will once again be expected to play a major role for Europe.

But there will be time for the serious stuff next week.
