Use an alignment pole as feedback
Place an alignment pole just behind your right hip and focus on moving that hip back along the pole — not into it — as you rotate through your backswing.
Try a resistance band to feel correct rotation
Anchor a resistance band to your right side and step away from it so there’s tension pulling you right; this helps you feel proper upper body rotation while keeping the pelvis from sliding.
Shorten and widen your swing
If you struggle with the reverse pivot, working with a shorter but wider backswing encourages a better sequence — legs, pelvis, rib cage, arms, then club — on the way down.
