Welcome to the beta version of the new Women & Golf website. Our web monkeys are still hard at work and welcome your feedback.
The Eyston Course is a fantastic championship course measuring between 5,536 to 7,319 yards. Located just outside Reading, built to USGA standards and is in great condition year-round due to excellent drainage.
I have played this course many times, It has undergone a number of changes over the last 4 years by renowned Course Architect Tom McBroom. The changes have made the course even better. It is an 18 hole Championship Course, with 8 different combinations of gender neutral tees. This course has a bit of everything, generous fairways, some water, bunkers and even toilets around the course which is always a welcome site for Ladies. It is classed as an Inland Links course and when the fescue arrives you need to ensure you don't miss the fairways, so course management is key. During the Winter it drains well and has no temporary tees or greens. The fairways are like carpet and the greens are tricky but true. It is currently undergoing a large reburishment of the club house which should be finished in the summer and reopen in July 2023, it will have new state of the art locker rooms, together with a fitness suite and treatment rooms. Looking foward to being able to look out from the South West Balcony overlooking the 18th Green and the 1st hole and watching how golf should be played.
