Welcome to the beta version of the new Women & Golf website. Our web monkeys are still hard at work and welcome your feedback.
Tenby Golf Club was founded in 1888, originally opening as a 9-hole course, with James Braid being commissioned to extend the course to 18 holes in 1907.
In recent years it has been extended from a par 69 to a par 72 layout, with several of the holes being reshaped, both to add length and to combat coastal erosion.
Close to the medieval walled town of Tenby, the course offers superb sea views over the Carmarthen Bay to the nearby monastic island of Caldey.
It is Wales oldest golf course, with the first recorded woman winner in 1889 (against a field of men!)
This links championship course has some blind shots , a choice of black/red/ yellow or white tees and a new clubhouse. Plus, there's onsite accommodation - either a set of Dormy rooms or The 4* Dunes on the first floor with views overlooking course.
There's a lovely 19th , a 2* AA restaurant, easy parking, and a short walk into town.
Stunning links course, amazing views. On an sssi site so lots of bird life (in case real birdies don’t come through!) choice of distance tees - black (shortest) red (medium) then the longer yellow or white . Fab greens - championship course. Super friendly staff from pro shop to 19th . Accomm on site (either Dormy or they have 4* balcony rooms with views over the course.) Great 19th bar plus an on site 2* AA restaurant.
