The Clubhouse was built in 1892, a few months after the foundation of the 9-hole course. Since then, the building has been renovated on numerous occasions and today we have a traditional Clubhouse which offers modern facilities and top class hospitality.
The 19th is worth a visit on its own.
I always find this course a tale of two halves. The front nine makes me think I am quite a good golfer, and the second nine reminds me that's not always true! It really benefits from knowing where to hit and it's possible to lose a ball that you think you have hit well. But most of the holes are still quite fair (a few exceptions on the back nine!) and it's a pleasure to play. There is a half-way hut. It's low lying so the sea views aren't great and the forward tee positions could be more imaginative, but otherwise recommended.
